<p>Closed pressurized storage vessels for holding liquefied gases, including non-flammable liquids, and their vapors under pressure are provided on the interior surface with a lining of expanded mesh or other highly heat-conductive porous material for reducing or avoiding the risk of BLEVE of the vessel on accidental exposure of the vessel to a fire hazard. The interior lining serves to disperse and dissipate heat that is absorbed by the vessel and its contents and delays the heating of the wall of the vessel, and thus delays weakening of the vessel wall to the point where it may rupture under the internally-generated pressure.</p> |
