PURPOSE:To detect surely a position on a magnetic tape, by recording preliminarily an address signal in the longitudinal direction on the magnetic tape where picture signals and sound signals are recorded. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic tape 5 is divided to an address recording part 21 and an information recording part 22, and prescribed address signals are recorded in the recording part 21. Address signals recorded on the address recording part 21 are supplied to a microcomputer 33 through a magnetic head 23 and a reproducing circuit 32 and are subjected to a prescribed processing and are displayed digitally through an operating part 34 on a display 35, and running of the magnetic tape 5 is stopped, and a prescribed position selected by a key switch 36 is positioned as the start of the tape. Since addresses are given throughout the overall length of the magnetic tape, positions of the tape are detected surely. |
