PURPOSE:After an electrically conductive layer is formed on the core of a thermoplastice synthetic resin, the product is foamed by heating to produce electrically conductive beads of synthetic resin which can be used as a cushioning material, electromagnetic wave shielding material and for other purposes without being formed. CONSTITUTION:An electrically conductive layer 2, preferably containing graphite, carbon black, Al, Cu, Ni, tin oxide as an electrically conductive component, is formed on at least a part of the surface of the core made of a thermoplastic resin such as polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride to give electrically conductive pellets. The resultant pellets are impregnated with a foaming agent 1 of a low-boiling organic compound, then foamed by heating to produce electrically conductive beads 3. The electrically conductive layer 2 is preferably formed on the thermoplastic synthetic resin layer by coextrusion or coating. |
