PURPOSE:To prevent damage of an expansion joint, by placing a ring on the outside of a cylindrical expansion joint. CONSTITUTION:Each of the vessels 1A, 1B is filled with water for simulating an atomic reactor cooling material, and an exciting base 8 to which a guide pipe 3A has been installed is fitted to the upper part of the vesesel 1A. The lower end of the vessel 1A is fixed to a rack base 6 provided on a supporting member 20, and the guide pipe 3A passes through the rack base 6, and is welded to an exciting base 9. The circumference of a through-hole of the guide pipe 3A of the rack base 6 is connected with the exciting base 9 by an expansion joint 5. The vessel 1B is fitted to the member 20, and is supported by a member 21 on the way, the lower end is fixed to a rack base 7, and the circumference of a hole through which a guide pipe 3B passes is connected with an exciting base 10 by the expansion joint 5. The outside of the expansion joint 5 is covered with pulral pressure resisting bands 16 and is reinforced. The guide pipes 3A, 3B are made to execute a reciprocating motion in the water 2 by driving an exciting machine, a CRD is inserted into the guide pipe 3A from the upper part, and its inserting state is monitored. |
