PURPOSE:To provide a compact plasticizing device of resin by such an arrangement wherein two disks, each has a spiral groove on one side, are arranged to oppose to each other, and one disk is rotated while resin pellets are supplied into the gap between them from their edge portion and plasticized resin is obtained from the central portion of the disk. CONSTITUTION:A rotary disk 8 is provided to oppose to a fixed disk 7 having an extruding nozzle 1 at its center, the vicinity thereof heated by a heater 3 and resin pellets are supplied into the gap between them from a hopper 5 and the disk 8 is rotated by a motor 6. The resin is heated and plasticized by internally generated heat and is moved inward and compressed by the action of a spiral groove 8' provided on the surface of the disk 8 and is extruded from the center nozzle 1. Since all stages of processing are carried out in the direction of its radius, the length of the device becomes shorter comparing with the conventional screw extruding machine and the overall size of the device can be reduced. |
