Device for coupling the handles and treadles of a loom

A device for the selective connection of the handles or shafts and the treadles 24 of a loom with the aid of handle cords 64 or the like. This is done by using a stationary guiding mechanism 68 that is intended for the handle cords, is situated between the handles and treadles and not only controls the handle cords but also stabilizes the movements of the handles by acting on the treadles. The control device has a set of holes across the loom. Each row contains a number of holes 66 that correspond to the number of cords from an assigned handle. Each cord 64 running from a handle passes freely through a corresponding hole 66 in the row of holes. A fixing device 70, situated at the lower end of each cord makes it possible to connect it to the intended treadle.
