PURPOSE:To improve visual recognizability to prevent erroneous operations, by displaying the propriety of transferring data in response to a means, which sets the propriety of imprinting data, in a camera provided with an external display means for an electronic clock and a display means for imprinting data to a film. CONSTITUTION:An electronic clock 11 has a quartz oscillator and counters for seconds, minutes, hours, days, months, and years, and a mode selector 13 selects the output of the clock 11. A imprinting propriety setting device 14 outputs H for imprinting permission to a signal line l1 and output L for transfer rejection to this signal line. An external display 15 displays the output of the clock, which is selected by the selector 13, on the outside. The output of the line l1, the output of the selector 13, and the output of an AND gate G1 are inputted to an imprinting device 16, and the device 16 drives a propriety display 40 for H of the line l1 and extinguishes the display of the display 40 for L. When a trigger signal is generated in relation to the photographic operation, the gate G1 outputs H, and a display 17 for imprinting is lit. When the line l1 is L, the display 17 is not lit even if the trigger signal is generated. |
