PURPOSE:To permit the sure starting of the engine by a method wherein generation of the sliding contact condition of a clutch upon contacting of a power transmitting shaft, to which a flywheel for accumulating energy is connected, with the output shaft of the engine is restrained. CONSTITUTION:When a starter switch 15 is put ON, an electric current is flowed through a driving circuit 13 since a relay 14 is normally closed and thereby driving a starter 9 for starting. as a result, a rotary shaft 8 and the flywheel 2 for accumulating energy are rotated and the power transmitting shaft 4 is also rotated simultaneously. When the revolving speed of the power transmitting shaft 4 has arrived at an objective predetermined revolving speed, the clutch 5 is operated by the ON operation of the relay for a revolving speed detector 20. Simultaneously, the relay 14 is put OFF to stop the driving of the starter 9 and the rotation of the flywheel for accumulating energy is transmitted to the engine 1 by the operation of the clutch 5 through the output shaft 3 to drive the engine 1. |
