PURPOSE:To widen the width of the damping characteristics of the suction air resonator with respect to the frequency thereof by a method wherein a resonance chamber is divided and a bulkhead supported elastically is provided. CONSTITUTION:The suction air resonator 12 is connected to the nozzle 10 of the air cleaner constituting the end part of the suction pipe of an engine while the suction air resonator 12 is divided into an upper chamber 20 and a lower chamber 22 by a diaphragm 18. The diaphragm 18 is equipped with a disc-shaped central part 24 and a concentric wavy outer peripheral part 26 while the central part 24 is supported elastically by the outer peripheral part 26 so as to be vibratable. An adjusting piece 28 determining the vibrating mass of the diaphragm 18 is secured to the central part of said diaphragm 18. |
