PURPOSE:To obtain a coating which has a favorable absorptivity of solar rays even with a small thickness, by using iron oxide and phthalocyanine base pigments in the form of particulates having particle sizes of 0.001-0.2mum. CONSTITUTION:The coating is provided on a metal the surface of which has a low emissivity, such as aluminum, copper and stainless steel, and the coating is comprised of at least 40wt% of iron oxide and phthalocyanine base pigments in the form of particulates having particle sizes of 0.001-0.2mum, the remainder being a resin. The coating exhibits an absorptivity of 0.95, an emissivity of 0.3- 0.4 and a favorable selectivity in absorption, even when it has a small thickness of 2-3mum. In addition, the coating can be easily produced for domestic hot water supply use. |
