摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a photoreceptor causing little accumulation of residual potential even after successive applications of 2-color electrophotography, consequey inducing no fog on the background, and no deterioration of density of a chromatic color part, by adding an electron donor higher in ionization potential than an electron donor used for a charge transfer layer, to the charge generating layer of a second photoconductive layer. CONSTITUTION:A second photoconductive layer 14 consistiong of a charge generating layer (CGL) 141 and a charge transfer layer (CTL) 142 is formed on a first photoconductive layer 12 laminated on a conductive substrate 11. When the layer 14 is subjected to negative primary electrofying in the dark, and secondary positive electrofying and exposure to an optical image, selection of said electron donors permits movement of excited electrons toward the layer 12, that of positive holes toward the CTL side 142 to be accelerated when a charge generating substance causes charge separation in the CGL141 because of exposure, and permits residual potential to be caused by accumulation of positive and negative charges in the CGL and on both its sides to be prevented.
