摘要 The sucking hoisting member (13) of an automotive device, especially for laying down paving stones assembled in a block, has a rectangular shape and comprises suction nozzles (24) which are mutually independent and which can be axially and angularly displaced, and guiding jaws (26) which can pivot from any side against the group of paving stones. The section of the suction pipes of every nozzle is released only when the nozzle bears on a paving stone. For this purpose, every nozzle (24) comprises a suction tubular bell (34) which can be displaced into an annular groove (40) of a support (32). A resilient annular seal (36) mounted on the bottom of the groove (40), when in a rest position, closes radial conduits (23) of the support (32), which communicate with a vacuum chamber by means of a central conduit (45) of the sphere (43) of a universal joint and by means of an axially movable pipe (39). When the nozzle (24) contacts the paving stone (30), the bell (34) presses the annular seal (36) in the groove (40) until the pipes (42), situated in the bell wall (34) and opening into the suction chamber (37), communicate with the vacuum pipes (33) of the support (32). The seal (36) and a packing (35) situated at the end of the bell (34) preferably consist of a closed cell foam (foam rubber, cellular rubber). A frame (2) pivotable by 360<o> and provided with a movable counter-weight (4) is mounted on a boggie (1) and carries a pivotable structure (5) which can be lifted and lowered and of which the free end carries a boom (6) composed of two arms pivotable about a horizontal axis (7). The suction hoisting member (13) is attached to the boom by means of a Hooke's joint. The structure (5) and the arm of the boom (6) can be made of two hollow profiles in order to create the vacuum chambers. Photoelectric cells mounted on the hoisting member (13) can detect the angles of the paving stones already laid down and control the descent of the hoisting member (13).
