PURPOSE:To enable the breakage of electrodes and electrolyte plates which might be caused due to separators to be prevented by preparing the gas flow- path part of the separator, which is positioned on the outer side of a pair of electrodes between which the electrolyte plate is interposed, from three-dimensionally net-like porous metal. CONSTITUTION:A separator for the fuel cell is prepared by three-dimensionally arranging a net-like porous metal in a separator frame. The above separator is placed on the outer side of a pair of electrodes between which an electrolyte plate is placed so as to form a constitution unit for the fuel cell, and thus formed cell units are practically used by being stacked. As a result, owing to the above porous metal, current collecting and supporting of electrodes can be securely performed. Besides, since reaction-gas flow paths formed by arranging the porous metals have a small draft resistance, the flow of gas becomes homogeneous. |
