PURPOSE:To prepare a bead sample, excellent in working properties and analysis precision, without melt-damage of a platinum receptacle, by a method wherein a powder oxidizing agent, in which an unoxidized metal and platinum in a powder minerals start to decompose at lower than a temperature whereat an alloy is produced, is added in quantity which is enough to oxidize at least the total quantity of the unoxidized metal. CONSTITUTION:After a powder oxidizing agent is added and mixed in powder minerals containing an unoxidized metal and in a flux, a chemical reaction between the unoxidized metal and the powder oxidizing agent in a powder sample is carried out in a process to place them in a platinum receptacle and heat-melt them and at lower than temperature at which an alloy is produced by platinum and the unoxidized metal. In which case, if a mixture of powder minerals, containing the powder oxidizing agent and the unoxidized metal, and a flux is heated in the platinum receptacle, the powder oxidizing agent is decomposed to oxidize the unoxidized metal. The reaction becomes strong with the rise in temperature, the unoxidized metal is oxidized, before the platinum and the unoxidized metal reaches temperature at which an alloy is produced, to prevent alloying, temperature further rises to melt a melting agent, and an oxidized metal and powder minerals are molten. After they are agitated, they are cooled to obtain a bead sample rapidly. |
