PURPOSE:To obtain a simple automatic equalization system by detecting distortion information on a spectrum from a transmitted signal and controlling the inclination of an amplitude equalizer. CONSTITUTION:A primary equalizer FEQ-N with negative characteristics and a primary equalizer FEQ-P with positive characteristics are connected to a transmission line TL and hybrid circuits H1 and H2 are used to divide a signal into two. Then, band-pass filters BPF1 and BPF 2 having narrow bands extract a signal. Detectors DET1 and DET2 perform detection and after DC amplifiers DCA1 and DCA2 perform amplification, the results are applied to the primary equalizers with less distortion. Thus, the spectrum is divided into a high and a low component about a frequency axis and those components are brought under automatic gain control independently to obtain a prescribed spectrum. |
