PURPOSE:To obtain a photoreceptor having high and flat sensitivity to a wide region covering all the visible wavelengths and semiconductor laser wavelengths, and long service life, by adding a specified trisazo pigment to a charge generating layer and a specified hydrazone compd. to a charge transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:A 0.01-5mum thick charge generating layer formed on a conductive substrate contains 10-100wt% trisazo pigment having formulaIin which R is one of formulae III-VI. On this layer, a charge transfer layer of 2-100mum thickness is formed contg. 10-80wt% hydrazone compd. having formula II in which R1-R4 are each H, 1-3C alkyl, such alkoxy, optionally substd. dialkylamino, dibenzylamino, or halogen. As a result, a photoreceptor having high sensitivity especially to semiconductor laser beams used for high speed copying, and long service life is obtained. |
