Automatic operating unit for a gearbox with an accelerator pedal sensor (13), a throttle valve sensor (9), an engine speed sensor (18), a vehicle speed sensor (23) and an electronic control device (14) for the generation of control signals as a function of the sensor signals received. The control signals serve to drive a first control element (8), a second control element (15) and a third control element (21). The electronic control device supplies a signal for the second control element (15) for the progressive operation of the clutch (3), when the vehicle starts and a signal for the first control element (8) for varying the degree of opening of the throttle valve (6). The control signals are so generated that the degree of opening of the throttle valve (6) is varied according to the change in the load of the internal combustion engine (4) when the clutch is half engaged, so that the speed of the internal combustion engine (4) remains constant. <IMAGE> |
