PURPOSE:The titled lubricating oil suitably used for traction drive, which comprises a naphthenic hydrocarbon compd. having specified viscosity characteristics. CONSTITUTION:Lubricating oil comprising a compd. of kinematic viscosity <=220cSt at 40 deg.C and pour pt. <=0 deg.C, obtd. by hydrogenating a 19-30C arom. hydrocarbon of the formula (wherein R<1> is divalent CyH2y, where y is 1-3; R<2> is CzH2z, where Z is 1-2; R<3>, R<4> and R<5> are each 1-3C alkyl; l, m and n are each 0-3; x is 0 or 1; A, B and C are each a six-membered carbocyclic ring, where at least one is benzene ring) having at least three six-membered carbon rings. |
