A push-in barrel system for percussion front loaders contains axially displaceably and lockably in a tubular piece which can be inserted into the barrel of the front loader weapon a reducing barrel, the rear end of which fits into the powder bore provided in the weapon barrel and is closed by means of a releasable breech containing a continuous bore, the diameter of which is smaller than the inside diameter of the reducing barrel. The reducing barrel is to be fixed in the barrel of the front-loader weapon by means of a cuff or clamping sleeve spreadable in the manner of a dowel.
