In a solenoid plunger magnet system used in a type printing device, the armature is composed of a drive component made of soft iron and a guide component mounted thereon. The drive component has a cylindrical main component and a cylindrical pin component arranged thereon in a projection-like manner, the main component and the pin component having edge-shaped junctions forming magnetic compression areas. The non-magnetic guide component which is made of non-magnetic material and serves as the actual printing hammer is plugged on to the pin component and permanently or releasably connected to it.
