PURPOSE:To prevent generation of bubbles and concentration of an electrode, by putting essencial parts such as a cell for ion concentration measurement, storage tanks of a liquid to be inspected, a standard liquid and washing liquid and piping to the cell for the measurement etc. in a thermostat and providing an ultrasonic wave oscillating mechanism giving the ultrasonic waves to a medium in the thermostat. CONSTITUTION:A flow cell 3 provide an ion selective electrode 1 and a standard electrode 2, a liquid to be inspected 7, a standard solution 9, a washing liquid 11, a piping from a pump 6 to the cell 3 and each exit part from the cell 3 to a discharge pipe 13 and entrance part to the cell 3, are taken into a heat transfer medium (water) 16 in a thermostat 15 and the thermostat 15 is provided with an ultrasonic oscillator 20 e.g. at the bottom. The oscillator 20 having 50W output and about 28kHz frequency, is used so as not to fall an ion selective membrane. Hereby, fully automatic measurement is made possible stably for a long period by preventing to produce air bubbles between the electrodes 1 and 2 during the measurement and to be made impossible the continuous measurement by generating electric noise by dirt adhered to the electrode. The ultrasonic waves may be oscillated at noise generating time but said waves may be oscillated at every time or periodically in a washing process. |
