According to the main patent, the light is deflected by means of optical waveguides which can be pivoted using electronic-mechanical deflection systems. In order to avoid such optical waveguides, it is proposed that the evacuated picture-tube glass bulb has three or more laser diodes and three or more photocathodes for the basic colours blue, green and red, in or on the glass-bulb neck, the secondary-emission electrons emerging on irradiation of which are accelerated and multiplied on dynodes (secondary electron multipliers and accelerators), tubular sleeve shutters being arranged in the electron cluster path for electron beam concentration, the electron beam clusters, modulated at three frequencies, being passed through horizontal and vertical deflection systems, and being guided to a large-area optically transparent anode which is coated on a matt disc with three colour-fluorescent triples in the three basic colours blue, green and red, or instead of which has three transparent films or plates, which are coloured with spectrally different fluorescent colours and emit light impressions in the basic colours blue, green and red when they are illuminated with light and/or irradiated with electrons.
