PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of the time of data transfer, by bringing a telephone number into an adapter while a network controller is detecting the originating register tone of a switchboard. CONSTITUTION:When a call signal from CPU is demodulated by modem MOD3, adapter ADP2 turns on a call signal line to network controller NCU. Simultaneously, ADP2 informs CPU of a telephone number request signal. Consequently, CPU sends the telephone number to ADP1. Next, ADP1 informs ADP2 of it and ADP2 stores it in its internal memory. As NCU turns on signal line IF3, ADP2 detects that and sends dial pulses to switchboard LF. Next, NCU sends a connection end signal to CPU. In response to it, CPU transfers transmitted data to MOD1. Then, MOD1 modulates and transmits it over a prescribed channel. Receiving it, MOD3 performs demodulation and supplies the demodulated data to MOD3'. After modulation, MOD3' sends it to a telephone circuit via NCU. |
