PURPOSE:To contrive to enhance water resistance and durability in printing, by using a copolymer of an acrylic acid ester, a methacrylic acid ester or stylene with butadiene as an adhesive for adhereing a paper base and a flexible metallic foil layer to each other. CONSTITUTION:A compolymer of at least one of an acrylic acid ester, a methacrylic acid ester and stylene with butadiene is used as a main constituent of an adhesive layer for adhering the paper base and the flexible thin metallic layer. A 1-18C alkyl group is used as the ester residue in the acrylic acid ester or the methacrylic acid ester, while stylene or alkylstylene is used as stylene, and the polymer is preferably modified by other copolymerizable component having a carboxyl group, such as acrylic acid and itaconic acid. By setting the thickness of the adhesive layer in the range of 0.5-20mum, the dimensional stability, water resistance and durability in printing of the planographic plate are enhanced. |
