The equipment for producing non-ferrous metals by electrolysis has an electrolysis tank with electrolysis sections arranged therein, each of which consists of an alternating sequence of anodes and cathodes which are at one and the same level. The electrodes are fixed to feed rails in channels. In the electrolysis tank (1) double screens (5) against parasitic flows with orifices (6 and 7) alternating at top and bottom are fitted between the individual electrolysis sections (2).
