The invention provides a cosmetics case having an unlatching part which has an angled profile with one horizontal and one vertical limb and is mounted with its angled portion in a rectangular cutout formed in a bottom part or a lid part of the case. The unlocking part is pivotable about its angled portion by means of pressure exerted on one of its limbs, the other limb acting on a flat surface of the other one of the two main parts, i.e. the bottom part or the lid part in order to release an engagement between the bottom part and the lid part.
