PURPOSE:To simplify the tape loading and to smooth the tape running system, by compressing the time after converting a sound signal into a PCM signal and decreasing the winding angle of a tape to a rotary head cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head 1 is rotated with the rotary head cylinder 2 fixed. A magnetic tape 6 abuts to the cylinder 2 helically with the movement of guide posts 7, 8 from the position of broken lines. A pinch roller 10 is pressed on a capstan 9 and the tape is driven. The contact angle to the cylinder 2 of the tape 6 is about 100 deg. and the angle recorded on the PCM signal is set to 90 deg.. |
