In a duct section 1 for an air admission channel in a room ventilating system, a guiding means in connection with an air supply aperture 2 formed directly in the wall of the section 1 consists of a single plane guiding plate 3 which is mounted rotatably around a swivelling axis lying substantially in the middle of the plane of the plate 3 and in the air supply aperture 2. In addition to performing a directive effect on the air flow, the guiding plate 3 causes a damping of the residual rotation in the duct section 1. The admitted air flow may be choked by controlling the flow area of the air supply aperture 2 by means of throttle plates 6, 7 being displaceably mounted at the edges of the air supply aperture parallel to the main flow direction of the air in the section 1. <IMAGE>
