The invention relates to a circuit arrangement for the monitoring of speed differences on machine tools, especially in the case of speed differences or a shaft break between an eccentric shaft and control elements on mechanical presses. By means of the circuit arrangement, in order to avoid accidents, the machine is to be stopped immediately, without prior adjustment work on control elements, irrespective of the change in speed, the direction of rotation and the selected operating mode. The signals obtained from control discs via measuring transducers are processed in an evaluation circuit which works reciprocally by logical connection and which consists of enabling-pulse and clearing-pulse elements (5.1; 5.2), pulse stores (6.1; 6.2), pulse gates (7.1; 7.2) and error stores (8.1; 8.2). <IMAGE>
