Arrangement for monitoring electrical circuits

The subject matter of the invention is an arrangement with a magnetically controllable resistor which monitors an electrical circuit for transgression of a predetermined instantaneous current value. This is done with the aid of an adjustable electronic constant-current source which feeds the magnetically controllable resistor. The voltage dropped across the resistor is supplied to the input of an electronic flip flop which supplies an output signal without delay when a particular input voltage value is exceeded. The output signal can be used for triggering a switching device, particularly an explosive isolator. The invention is particularly suitable for monitoring electrical DC circuits.
