Apparatus for removing the contents of a silo

An apparatus for removing the contents of a silo has an upwardly open channel with a discharge screw in the bottom of the silo. In the course of discharge, the bottom is swept by an arm seated on a rotor. The rotor shaft protrudes through the bottom of the silo and has a drive underneath the latter comprising two hydraulic cylinders supplied with pressure medium on both sides which act eccentrically, at an angle to one another, on the shaft and can be swivelled in the plane perpendicular to the shaft. A rotor driven in this way can be constructed without an actuating mechanism and is of simple, operationally reliable and maintenance-free design. <IMAGE>
