摘要

The invention provides displays containing guest-host liquid crystal compositions with positive images, i.e., colored images on colorless background. Cell members are formed of which the first orients the guest-host contents of the cell in two directions in a predetermined pattern and the second member orients the contents in at least one direction approximating that of one of the directions of the first member.
