PURPOSE:To make a test suitable for a wide range of test conditions possible, by constituting a titled device in such a way that back and forth movements are applied to a rolls in contact with a test piece while rotating an eccentric cam whereby large displacements are applied to the test piece. CONSTITUTION:After the initial rotating position of an eccentric cam 5 is determined, a test piece 10 is mounted by means of fixing jigs 2, 11. Prescribed tension is applied upon the test piece 10 by means of a spring 12, and selected stressing rolls 3 are mounted on the surface of the test piece. When the cam 5 is rotated with a variable motor 6, the rolls 3 repeat back and forth movements and displacements are applied repeatedly upon the test piece 10. The repeating times of the displacements are detected with a proximity switch 14 and are counted with a counter 1. When the test piece 10 is broken by fatigue after certain times of repetitions, the breakage is detected with a limit switch 13, and immediately the motor 6 is stopped to end the test. Reoetitive bending stresses and repeating speeds are freely adjustable, and the teting with either of oscillations in two ways or one way is possible. |
