PURPOSE:To keep a speed of a pipe and number of revolutions of a die constant, and to equalize a pitch, by using a die of an unequal pitch which has been made to conform with a deformation process of the pipe, and controlling the number of revolutions of the die in accordance with a running speed of the pipe, when continuously manufacturing a flexible pipe. CONSTITUTION:As for a forming die 12, that of an unequal pitch whose pitch becomes small as forming advances is used, and its position and moving speed are detected by a detector 15. In this case, in case when rotation of the die 12 is slow, the die 12 moves in the advancing direction of a pipe 8, and on the contrary, in case when rotation of the die 12 is fast, the die 12 moves in the opposite direction to the advancing direction of the pipe 8. Accordingly, the number of revolutions of the die 12 is controlled so that the die 12 is always positioned at an initial set position, by which relation between a speed of the pipe 8 and the number of revolutions of the die 12 is kept constant at all times. |
