PURPOSE:To execute continuous working, and to elevate productivity, by using a metallic pipe material serving as a blank material, as it remains long-sized, and working the end part of a metallic pipe by a specified pressure die, when manufacturing an I-joint which is melt-stuck to the end part of the metallic pipe. CONSTITUTION:When manufacturing an I-joint melt-stuck by a brazing metal to the end part of an oil feed pipe, an air feed pipe, etc., the tip part of a long- sized metallic pipe P serving as a blank material is held firmly by chucks 6, 6' in a state that it is projected by length of some extent. Subsequently, by a pressure die 7 provided with a recessed-shape curved surface 7', the projecting end part of the base material metallic pipe P is pressed in the axial core direction, the vicinity of a tip port circumferential part 2 is curved to the inside, and a narrowed port 4 having a flat bearing surface 3 is constituted. Also, the pipe material P side is fed out slightly forward by synchronizing with retreat of the pressure die 7, and successively, a brazing metal melt-sticking connecting hole 5 to a branch pipe or a pipe body is pierced on the circumferential side wall part, and it is cut. Subsequently, this process is repeated, and from a long-sized metallic pipe blank material, an I-jont is continuously manufactured with excellent productivity.
|
