PURPOSE:To improve the shock absorbing propety of the titled guard bar by weld-forming the side of compression stress which is caused to occur by the action of side collision-load, in the guard bar for keeping its rigidity and heightening the shock energy-absorbing property. CONSTITUTION:A beam 1 and a rainforce 3 are spot-welded for keeping rigidity of a guard bar B, because the loading central part alpha in the junction of both members is compressed, when side collision-load acts on the guard bar B. Then, the beam 1 and a patch 4 are not spot-welded at the loading central part and are spot-welded at other welding part, because the loading central part alpha in the junction is tensile. Consequently, the shock absorbing property is totally increased remarkably when the side collision-load F acts on the guard bar B. |
