PRODUCTION OF CATALYST HAVING POROUS FILM CONTAINING RARE EARTHS FOR PURIFICATION OF WASTE GAS

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a catalyst having porous films for purification of waste gases by coating aq. compsns. consisting of active alumina, water-soluble aluminum salt and lanthanum carbonate on a monolithic type base material. CONSTITUTION:As a catalyst for purification of waste gases, aq. compsns. consisting of active alumina, water-soluble aluminum salt and rare earth compds. contg. lanthanum carbonate is coated on a monolithic type base material; thereafter, the material is dried and calcined to form a carrier of porous films contg. rare earths. Platinum group elements are deposited on such carrier. Then, the catalyst for purification of waste gases having good gas diffusivity is obtained.
