PURPOSE:To eliminate the change in elastic pressing force due to a cylinder pressure by a constitution wherein a part for introducing the cylinder pressure is provided in an elastic pressing means for a pinion member for rear wheels which is provided in a power cylinder for front wheels. CONSTITUTION:A gear box 14 is provided with a steering shaft 13, which controls the lateral motion of a rack 17. A power cylinder 49 generates a steering supplemental power in a piston 17c by supplying chambers S1 and S2 with operation oil. In the chamber S1, a rack 17b and a pinion 19a are provided for steering rear wheels, and also an elastic pressing means 69 is provided. A support member 70 for the means 69 is provided with a communicating part 75 for making the pressure in a chamber S5 equal to that in the chamber S1. Therefore, elastic pressing force does not change when the operation oil is supplied to the chamber S1, and thus expected elastic pressing force can be obtained. |
