The radius (R) of curvature of the curved or corner portion (T) of the seat belt guide rail (1) is arranged to be greater than the distance (L) between the guide rail (1) and the point at which the seat belt (4) is pivotally connected to a sliding mechanism (8) disposed within the rail (1) per se, so that the path followed by the upper end of the sea belt (4) is smooth and regular and free from irregularities which induce neck scrubbing.
