发明名称 METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING PLATE CROWN
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the prescribed quantity of plate crown, by measuring the surface temperature of work rolls of a rolling mill and the quantity of plate crown during rolling, and controlling the distribution of flow rate of cooling water for roll cooling in the axial direction basing on said measured values. CONSTITUTION:When the rolling of a material 2 to be rolled is started, the temperatures of the whole surfaces of rolls 1 and 1' in their axial directions or of the central parts of the rolls are measured by roll temperature measuring devices 5 and 5' e.g. radiation thermometers, etc. to transmit the measured values to an arithmetic controlling device 7 at prescribed intervals of time. On the other hand, a sheet crown measuring device 6 measures the difference of sheet thickness between the central part and end part of the material 2 i.e. the quantity of sheet crown, at every pass, by using a gamma-ray thickness gauge, etc., and transmits these measured values to the device 7 also. The device 7 instructs roll cooling devices 3 and 3' to control the distribution of the flow rate of cooling water, for cooling the rolls 1 and 1', in their axial directions.
