PURPOSE:In the fermentation production of dicarboxylic acids from n-paraffins with a yeast in Torulopsis, nitrogen sources and phosphorus sources are continuously or intermittently added to the culture medium to increase the accumulation rate and maximum accumulation concentration of the dicarboxylic acids. CONSTITUTION:When dicarboxylic acids are produced from n-paraffins through aerobic fermentation with a yeast in a Torulopsis, nitrogen sources and phosphorus sources are continuously or intermittently added to the culture medium in the tank. For example, an ammonium salt is used as a part of the nitrogen sources to keep the concentration of ammonium ion 100-700ppm in the culture medium and a phosphate salt is added to keep its concentration 0.1-0.4wt% as phosphate groups. Thus, the speed of accumulation rate of dicarboxylic acid is accelerated and the maximum concentration is increased as well. |
