PURPOSE:To facilitate the selecting combination work of a bearing constituting section by measuring the pitches of the contact points of the track groove of a double row race and the size of the positions of the contact points of the track groove of a single row race and selecting combination among these values and the diameters of balls. CONSTITUTION:Relative displacement in the axial direction of the double row outer race 2 of an upper side measuring section 22 and a lower side measuring section 23 is indicated to an indicator 38 through a measuring piece 34 as dimension difference to a reference value set in the pitches Q1 of the contact points of the track groove of the double row outer race. The size Q2 of the positions of the contact points of the track groove of the single row race is indicated to an indicator 60 as dimension difference to a reference value set. Accordingly, a predetermined axial clearance can be obtained easily by selecting the combination of the pitches Q1 of the contact points of the track groove of the double row race being measured, the size Q2 of the positions of the contact points of the track groove of the single row race and the diameter of balls.
