PURPOSE:To increase active mass utilization and a life of a battery. CONSTITUTION:Lead powder is mixed with a dilute sulfuric acid and this mixture is kneaded and filled in a grid, then dried and aged to form a plate. This plate is cathodically charged in a sulfuric acid solution having a specific gravity of 1.10(at 20 deg.C) by 100% quantity of electricity of theoretical value to convert most of lead oxide to sponge-like lead. Then the plate is anodically charged to convert lead to PbO2. |
