PURPOSE:To shorten a preparation time, and to execute continuous copying satisfactorily, by controlling a copying speed of a copier in accordance with a temperature of a fixing device. CONSTITUTION:A detected temperature is inputted to a temperature deciding circuit 21 from a temperature detector 19 of a heat roll 16 of a fixing device 10. As a result of its decision, a heater controller 20 and a copying driving device 22 are controlled. The device 22 has a copying cycle timer setting device 23 and a copier start controlling mechanism 24, and speed indicators 231, 232 having a high copying speed and a low copying speed of the copying cycle timer setting device. In this case, the copying speed does not signify a double process speed of a rotating speed of a photosensitive body, etc., but signifies an interval between the end and the start in case of continuous copying, and the time (timing) required for starting the copying operation by an optical system and a paper feed system after a copying start signal is inputted. |
