The present invention concerns an arrangement for separation of liquid 14 from a liquid mixed with particles and containing a rotating perforated drum 1, and which has on the inside a screwlike flange element 11 serving to feed the slurry along the drum 1 and following along with the rotational movement of the drum, whose flange 11 extends from the inside 3A of the drum shell in the direction of its centre 13. The invention enables effective separation of the liquid 14 from liquid mixed with particles. A portion A of the feed screw 11, which extends from the drum's inlet end along at least the entire lengthwise dimension of a supply arrangement 37, 38; 28, 30, 31 extending inside and along the drum, which is arranged to supply slurry 12 to the inside of the drum, has increasing flange height a, b, c, etc., calculated in the feed direction, i.e., the distance for the flange 11a, 11b, 11c, etc. in the direction from the drum shell 3 toward the centre 13 of the drum 1 increases, so that material accumulated between the flanges can be received with increasing quantity, reckoning in the feed direction along the dimension of said feeding arrangement in the interior of the drum 1, while at the same time separating liquid from the slurry 12 etc. through the flow openings 2. <IMAGE> |
