The present invention relates to an anterior chamber implant and in particular to such an implant which is capable of being autoclaved. The implant is formed of a glass optic which is plano-convex, its posterior surface being curved. The optic is mounted in a haptic which comprises two sets of flat feet lying in the same plane as one another. The optic has fenestrations to enhance the circulation of fluid in the anterior chamber. The haptic is formed of an autoclavable clinically inert thermoplastic material comprising a polyethersulphone. |
