PROCESS OF PRODUCING QUICKLIME BY CALCINING IN ROTARY KILN

摘要

Burnt lime with high reactivity and low S content was produced in rotary kilns where solid fuel was fed at the material charging end and air was blown through gas inlet burner blocks and jacket pipes into the kiln zone. In the kiln zone, fuel and air were introduced by means of jacket burners in such amts. that the feed material temp. was kept const. In the free inner kiln space, air was blown in controlled amts. A portion of the fuel was possibly fed through a central burner in the form of fine-grained coal. The solid fuel was used in a grain size<=100 mm. The calcination was carried out at 950-1050≦̸C.
