PURPOSE:To obtain a constant density picture, by setting the potential of a latent image forming material, which is detected during continuous recording, to the initial potential and controlling a corona voltage so that the surface potential of the latent image forming material is approximated to the initial value. CONSTITUTION:In the controlling system for electrophotography, the latent image forming material starts rotation at a time t0, and the initial potential is set by a time t1 so that potentials of bright and dark parts are controlled to values vli and Vdi respectively. When the copy operation is performed in this state, the potential of the dark part, namely, the background is shifted and is deviated from an allowable potential as shown in figure by a code A to cause the picture dirt and the density lowering in the conventional method, but in this invention, a primary high voltage is corrected at times t2 and t3 to stabilize the potential of the latent image forming material, and thus, a constant density picture is obtained. |
