<p>The fermentation vessel is a horizontal cylindrical tank which may be made of sheet metal or reinforced plastic. The vessel is pref. prefabricated prior to transportation and installing or is composed of prefabricated modules which are easily assembled on site. Pref. the exterior of the vessel is fitted with circumferential track rings which support the vessel on trunnion rollers. The vessel can be rotated on its axis to discharge by gravity through the hole normally at the top for charging with manure etc. This is a fuel gas prodn. plant for large scale farms, e.g. with upwards of 100 head of cattle. The vessels, or modules, are easily transportable and are supplied to be practically ready for use as soon as offloaded.</p> |
