<p>The drive for a light boat has a support (1) with clamps (6,12) to the rear of the boat. A rudder (14) is fitted on an arm (7), vertical to the support and a paddle wheel (25) is mounted, loose, on a horizontal shaft on one side of the rudder. A lever (34) tilts on the rudder and carries part of a belt drive (21-23) to the paddle wheel. Various slots (10), holes (15) and bolts (16) give height adjustment for the rudder. The belt drive increases the speed of rotation of the paddle wheel relative to the lever. Rotation in either direction is possible.</p> |
